i was just checkin out my new big t-28 and i am able to move the shaft oor compressor wheel side to side slightly and if i listen closly i can hear th compressor wheel touch the sides

NOT GOOD! Turbo is junk!!!

There should ne NO movement at all! Especially since you can touch the housing with it!

damn, its brand new i JUST got it from extreme psi, its a fp big t28. Are you sure its junk? like how bad will it be?

well it will basically self destrict when the turbine hits the housing. You need to call them up and tell them!

i just sent them an email, i made the compressor touch the housing, not the turbine but i guess it would do the same. grr this sucks. im thinking of just trying it anyway

well my t 25 has shaft play and im running it.lol. well i really dont want to wait for them to send a new turbo if this one will survive. I figure if i run it and it blows, its thier fault cuz they never told me to check for shaft play

i mean i can spin the compressor wheel and it doesnt rub, other wise i wouldnt want to try it. but hey, if it sounds ok and holds 17psi to redline i really dont care.

kk, think of this situatiion, when the turbine is spinning at 100k rpms or whatever ungodly amount it is, and it hits the housing, bad things can happen, including pieces of metal flying of the compressor and into your intake, then into your engine,, now i know that you are smart enough to know what happens when foreign shards of metal gets into your cylinders = bad day for you. get a new turbo instead of an engine rebuild
