Default How much for these?

So this gsx has been rebuilt with 1g big rods and 7:8:1 pistons... I'm more than likely going to try to sell these to upgrade to forged rods and pistons so the block will be able to handle more power... How much do you think I could sell these rods and pistons for? and how much hp can the stock crank withstand? I heard 500, but can it handle more?

Yeah the crank can handle just about anything really. In no way is it weak. The pistons and rods i have no idea... but that combination is good for over 500hp. I dont see a point in shelling out for anything else

I was kinda thinkin that, but i wasnt sure if this stock rod and piston combo could handle a gt35 for a fp3065, ya know? i was just thinkin of durability... i really only want to have this engine out once

well seb, like i told you before i'm probably just gonna get a big 16g turbo right now just to get it running... then down the road, maybe next year or summer i'll get a stroker kit with stronger internals, then run the gt35... or if i have the money i might go to a gt37... (then i'll take my mom for that ride hahaha)

Heres how i figure it, if you have money that you can do without, thats what i would judge it by. If you have 5 grand to lose, then go for it. Like the poker players say, if you cant afford to lost it, dont bet it. So if you got it, and it wont hold you back from the rest of the build, then go for it.

well it really wasnt an answer to a question, it was more of just a statement of how it's gonna happen... the question was how much would the rods and pistons be able to sell for

LOL sorry.

Well i wouldnt recomend just selling the pistons. I would recomend selling the bottom end. I think you could get like $2500 from it
