how reliable is my 92 gsx?

ok so when i bought it, it had a turbo timer, boost gauge, boost controller, intake, bov,front mount intercooler..................anyways its 170,xxx on the chassis and 5000 on the rebuit engine(with receipt) well im wondering how reliable it is? and how great of a car is it?

they are plenty reliebale.. NESpeed had a 91 GSX 6bolt bottom end and that thing took abuse like you would never belive. you need to find out if it is a 7 bolt or 6 bolt.

Look at the sticker in the door or under the hood what is the manufacture date?

no unless you beat on it extremely hard. I have seen a 91 GSX do countless 6K-7K launches over and over again had no major trouble at all other than the turbo dieing after years of that abuse

well his car had I think 170K on it took tons of abuse ne was running 19PSI and after a while of that the turbo went out. You have nothing to worry about unless you beat the car to hell like I said his took on 6K and 7K launches almost on a dailiy basis

Like Emonz is saying, that thing should last for a long time only having 5000 on the motor. The turbo will most likely go before you have any engine problems, the only thing that iv'e heard about those cars is that the tranny can go bad.

do you guys know how much it weighs? estimated guess? o and can you tell me what was the date that they started making the 7 bolt.
