i put $20.00 at $3.25 a gallon and i barley got 60miles in my car and i am almost empty but my gas light havn't turned on yet tho....
what can i put or do to save gas cause i thought with $20.00 i would be able to atleast get 100miles at a half tank.. i have a 99 gs non turbo 5spd. i just put a rebuilt head on there too.. let me know how are you guys doing on gas and some gas saving tips

I just took a 500 mile road trip over this past weekend and got 29 MPG driving at 80+ MPH. Mostly Interstate, using cruise control in my 95 Eclipse RS 2.0 non-turbo 5-speed. This engine has like 4000 miles on the rebuild. I was shocked.

 

98 Spyder GS 88,600 miles, I still get 360 to a full tank, about 30mpg

 

2001 Eclipse GT, and i get just under 300 miles to the tank and i put in about 13.5 gallons of 89 octain gas... for 20$ you should be able to get at lease 100 miles easy,

yea for real sounds like ur not burning clean lol. Or you just A freaking massive amount of horsepower ur hiding lol. i'd replace ur air filter. And do simple checks under the hood. And maybe put a new fuel filter in. And put fuel injector cleaner in

 

if youre losing 66% of your gas mileage, i would say something serious might be wrong. I doubt fuel injector cleaner will help. I would go down to your local autozone, and see if your engine pulls up any codes

 

I'd still try fuel injector cleaner. its only like a dolar and won't hurt. But surly ur exagerating ur gas mileage. If not something is seriously wrong. But u should check for leaks. Maybe u have a leak in a hose or ur tank

 

Hey thats a good call. If your engine is running good, check for puddles of fuel when you drive around or whatever.
