I know that, But buying a modded car is gay so I say who cares. The buyer can never pay to much if he got what he wanted. Its like the Evo gys wh paid $42k for an MR

I personally would even pay $8k for a DSM. Your gonna need that money on the other end since we all know something will brake

Im a strong believer in getting what you want, but if you would need to sell that car next week for some wierd circumstance that you cant control.. You would be lucky to get 7-8 grand for the car.. And that warranty isnt worth anything, b/c the second you throw a blow off valve or a boost controller on it, I garantee they wont stand behind there warranty.. I personally wouldnt buy another car from a dealer if I had a choice.. I really like the car he got, but I personally wouldnt get a loan for a 8 year old car that is 13grand. Because thats a high monthly payment for something you will be fixing all the time..

 

I appreciate everyone's opinion..... but the reason why I paid that much is because one the car is in excellent shape two because its mostly stock. I want to do the work myself. In the kelly blue book my car is worth 12,400. So I paid a little over that because of the taxes and all of that. So not a bad buy at all.

 

Its still a nice car. Alot nicer than mine.
I paid $400 or so for mine with a blown up engine and so far ive dumped about $4,000 into it and its still ugly red.

 

the only thing about you mod'ing it yourself is... you paid for this really nice car at a dealership - most ppl that get cars from a dealership get it there because they want the comfort of a waranty, however when you plan on modding the car that warranty goes right out the window. i'm not trying to knock on you or anything, just saying that you coud have found a stock gsx somewhere else from an indivdual seller for between 7-9k. but hell now that you have it, enjoy makin it fast.

 

Exactly..... I know what you mean about the warrenty. I wont start modding it yet, maybe in a year or two. If Im goin to do something to the car I want it to be done correctly. Does anyone knowhow many miles pergallon Im suppost to begetting from my car.

 

you should be able to get around 22-25 daily

 

well here is a sunny side to not modding it for a year or two. You can save a buttload of money and be building on the side if you want, so whenever it does come time to do what you want to it, you can throw all that money into it at once!

 

Thats exactly what I was going to do. Thanks for the tip also, I knew that was a good idea.
