and why is that??? The Evo is just a better overall car IMO. They dont come with the headache

 

For an 8 year old min generation cars things are gonna bound to wear out and break. Ideally we would love to have everything last for ever. Most of the times you get what you pay for. Pretty sure evos aren't invincible cars.. More reliable but very pricy. Also sadly it isn't avaiable for everybody. Canadian have to many rules. 13K was that US currency?

 

ya.. A new evo would be nice.. But i dont have a spare 30,000 layin around.. If you stick 30,000 into an eclipse, you could be well past a stock $30,000 EVo..

 

yep yep. even putting 10k into a GSX will kill a stock evo.

 

But lets not forget you stick $10k in and the rest will be fixing the car. DSMs have pretty bad trannys. and lets not even talk about the suspension.

$30k youll gett a MUCH better car from head to toe only down fall for some is it is a 4 door sports car which is weird

 

For $30,000 you could put a good suspension on the eclipse.. Not to mention replace the tranny..

 

i'm not gonna get into a pissing match, i've done my hoemwork w/ my gsx, after putting about 12 into it that (engine, trani, intake manifold, turbo, intercooler, tuning, etc etc etc) will put me anywhere from 550-700whp. that's another 18k i can use on whatever i want, lets say some TOTL suspension mods run me 7k... still got 11k to do whatever i want. we all have our different opinions and most of us will stick by them.

 

and the turn around on the car is gonna be about $12k after dumping $25k into a car that is the worst idea. Atleast the insane Evo guys are making there money back

 

Evo's are very nice cars.. No one would debate that.. But lets face it.. If you own it, its not worth what you want it to be..

 

It is for me..... It was well worth every penny and the fact that it is still valued and worth more than I paid for it goes along way in my book. Not to mention its worth about $5-6K more than I owe on it

Same thing with the DSMs they are nice but haveing delt first hand with 2 of them they are a PITA compaired to the Evos. Even though I dont have well over 100k like they did but still. all around driving an Evo rates way more fun to drive IMO. The worst thing bout the DSM driving experience is the shifter it feels like it is going to snap off. even aftermarket ones there is alot of play and they feel soft that is a pet peeve of mine when it comes to cars the next thing is steering wheel I HATE big steering wheels the 1G is ok but the 2G wheel is annoying to me but then again the 3G wheel is THE WORST OF ALL but atleast the 3G shifts nice and firm
