Default I broke it again

Yesterday I was driving home, and I was getting on it alittle bit going up a hill and I heard a pop, kinda felt like fuel cut, and lost all power, a/f ratio went all the way to rich, couldnt drive over 40mph. I wasn't redlining it, it happened at about 5000 rpms. The only thing I noticed that some oil was leaking out of the timing cover case. Im getting it checked out today, the check engine light was on before this happened but maybe that will help diagnose the problem. I just got a new evo3 16g, I turned the mbc all the way down to prevent something like this from happening, but it happened anyway. I was playing with the safc-II alittle bit, but my a/f gauge wasnt showing any lean conditions, so Im not sure if that has anything to do with it. What do you guys think?

Are you saying your gasket on your head popped again? Otherwise I would agree with racer, Ive had this happen after I changed my couplings and didnt get them clamped good enough..

I dont know if the gasket popped, it hasn't before, there was just some oil coming out of the timing belt cover case.

I really hope its something simple.

yes but thats not gonna explain why your running rich. I popped off coupling at the IC pipes, maybe near the intercooler would definetly cuase a rich condition. and explain the pop.

i agree... sounds like coupling. you are using a bigger/more powerful turbo now so you may have to upgrade your couplers... i have a friend w/ a 320whp subi that was blowing couplers like crazy until he upgraded.
