Ah, it could be because you have a Mitsu tranny, I missed that somehow. If you read the Allpar article, it states that Chrysler opted for 2nd gear limp mode where others haven't adopted that at the time. That was awhile ago though, so other makes may have already adopted a "limp mode".

thanks to everyone who helped me out...i toke it to advanced today and they gave me a print out but i don't have the paper with me and the computer is saying it's my shift solenoide C (i don't kno if i spelled it right) hopefully dats all...well bsesides the leaking...well thaks to all ya'll again for helping me out i really appreiciate it

Oh i believe you. Like i said i have heard of both, people having it stuck in 2nd or third. Im almost wondering if it depends on what the computer has for a problem. Maybe if its a more serious Code then it goes into 2nd gear. IDK
You prolly are right with the chrysler/mitsu motors/trannys.. They may be different with the 420 and the 4g63 motors.. Thats the first time ive heard of it going into 2nd.. But it will be the same no matter the seriousness of the problem..
