Hi, i'm looking to buy an eclipse. I've had my eye on one, but i don't understand most of the tech's. The seller sent me this info.
"Fully optioned GSX except ABS, has LSD in rear, car has about 20K on 6-bolt swap. 6-bolt has forged 2G pistons, ARP studs throughout, stainless valves, 3G non-ticking lifters, '93 Cams (most aggressive stock cams), balance shafts removed, new oil pump upon rebuild, has 1G external oil cooler, 1G intake, 1G throttle body, ported 2G exhaust manifold, TD05H Small 16g, MBC @14psi, 1G BOV. 6-bolt was lifted from a '90 GSX (metal body CAS). Fidanza AL flywheel, ACT 2600 clutch, RRE downpipe, 3" exhaust, 3" cat, to Magnaflow with stock tips, 190LPH Walbro with fuel pump rewire. '97+ headlights and front bumper, '99 silver face gauges."

Well the motor probably was rebuilt when put in so 20k can be right. This is a good car, how much they asking for it. Anything under 10k is an awesome deal. The 6-bolt means it was from a 1g eclipse (they do the swap to prevent crankwalk, just look that up). The upgraded fuel pump is to prevent fuel cut at higher boost.
TDO5H small 16g = the turbo that is in it. Really is still small, almost as small as stock. But its still good.
MBC@14psi = Manual Boost Controller with how much boost the car is running. 14psi is a bit conservative for the setup he has i think.
and basically the cylinder head was all rebuilt as well.

motor sounds similar to what I had. what year is the car? I had an absolute perfect condition 97 gsx with 124k on the body, 40k on the motor i sold for 9k to give you an idea. if you dont understand the 'techs' i highly reccomend a mechanic inspecting it first ($50-100) its worth it. most important is you wana know the compression readings from the engine. also, something to consider is you most likely aren't going to be able to pass smog with all that in.

Ok, thank you guys for the feedback. The car is a '95 Eclipse and they are asking 6,800 (OBO). I would love to learn about all of the tech stuff. I plan to do some work on my new car (When i get it.)
Also, i was looking into this other eclipse. '95 eclipse, the seller said that he removed the engine and put a '99 model engine in it. It has no turbo.180,000 miles on body, 60,000 on motor. Asking price 4,000. What do you guys think about that?
