Default I NEED SPRING, VALVES, AND LIFTERS

4G64 and im putting a 63 head on it I was wondering since I gotta do the internals what should I put in? I want my car to be a street car but with power. without the problems. With a turbo nothing to big though. My goal is 300-350hp. Suggestions please

for 300-350whp you won't need anything other than a e3b16g turbo and suporting mods. but if you are building it just to build it a good start would be to KEEP the 4g64 lifters... they are 3x as good as the 4g63 lifters. as for springs you can get any name brand... here are a few sites: www.cimotorsports.net, www.slowboyracing.com, www.horsepowerfreaks.com, www.howellautomotive.com, and there are several others. a nice set of 264's or 272's will get you a lot more air in there also. if you are really looking for a decent head h thing to do would be to get a 3-5angle valve job... that will let a lot more air into the cylinders. these are all just extra things you can do. but you will be easily be able to put down 300-350 on stock motor w/ a decent turbo and suporting mods

Yeh because I am a daily driver and I don't want to drive a track car it would be pointless haha. I want a car with power and a good look and the inside im doing seconed but I wanna do my engine first because I don't want my car to be a "show car" with no power I want it all around as many do and at the same time be my ride to work haha. So I came to the conclusion that 300-350 should be good. What exactly are 264's and 272's? I was checking out SBR they seemed good is there anything at a lower cost but good enough quality? If not ill do SBR. My lifters are lame they tick haha. Thats why either way I need to replace them. So basically yours saying get 4g64 lifters? How much do machine shops usually range? Im trying to look for one here In San Diego. Kinda hard to find a decent shop. I got about 1200 for parts and labor im buying all the parts I need for a DOHC conversion and the head for $600 shipped. $350 for the labor and now I have the rest left for internals......and machine shop.

Also...At 300-350 a lot of these websites have different things for example the springs does it really matter which ones I get since ill be stopping at 350 whp? as long as there name brand and aftermarket? The more expensive ones seem to be built for track cars or cars that will be built for more then my goal am I right or wrong?

man like i told you... you don't need to waste your money on anything in the head.... fuel, turbo, tune. that's all you need. but if you insist on using ur money on the head work than get a 3 angle valve job, 4g64 lifters and a set of cams. that will be more than enough to get you what you want. i think www.cimotorsports.net has the cheapest cams, and everything from that site is quality. oh and angle job at a machine shop won't run you anymore than 150-200 bucks. i don't think.
