I'm very new to the eclipse world. I've only owned my GS for less than a year. I see all these threads about gst's and gsx's I'm just wondering what is the difference between the two?

 

GS is the base model, GST means the car is the turbo version, GSX is the all-wheel drive/turbo version.

 

dont forget the RS (what i got) its basically the GS with less standard options and accesories

2000-2002
RS 15 in rims no arm rest no power options no wing no fog cloth interior 2.4L 155HP
GS 16 in rims full power wing and fogs are options often added 2.4L 155HP
GT 17 in rims full power including driver seat 4disc CD changer leather ect ect 3.0L 205HP

2003-2005
RS same
GS same
GT cd changer extra option as was leather
GTS all options 3.0 215Hp 6disc cd changer

that is the basic jist of the 3Gs

 

hey, my 00 rs has stock 16s on it, it says they are 15's but me and woody measured them and theyre 16s

 

no they are 15's, and i have 16's not 17's!!!!!!! look at the tire. ( mount only on 15in rim) for your car.

 

Ya the rim is not measured in outside diameter it goes by inside...so the outside is always gonna be one inch bigger
