important question
yea, i agree, GSX FTW... i had to sound like the cool people and say FTW lmao.. but yea, much better traction, especially if you live in the north with snow.. if you can, get a GSX, but GST is cool too
yea for sure the GSX is better but if you cant find one in your price range, GST's are cool too, you just gotta learn to take off w/o burning up the tires so you can hook upand distroy the ricers
one thing the gst will have over the gsx is the gas mileage... the gsx is the heaviest of all eclipses and will give you slightly worse gas mileage than the gst... other than that the gsx is definitely the best of the two

16g setups dont get traction either : )
really, 300 and over = GSX

ok so this is what i was thinking of doing with whatever car it is that i get
16g turbo (which at some point might get upgraded)
front mount intercooler
rebuild the engine
550cc injectors
cam and gears
stage 1 racing head
act clutch and flywheel
all the supporting managment gizmos (fuel managment, boost controlr, guages)
that is all i can think of at this moment

honestly you wouldnt really need the head built with that setup, but you will need a new fuel pump also and you wont need to rebuild the engine either (assuming its in good condition).
ya i have a big 16g on my eclipse and i sure love it. i am looking into another eclipse a gsx this time just because of traction. with my big 16g i can spin the tires when im moving in first and second so i just cant wait for the gsx!!!!! my gst just has an upgraded turbo boost controller exhaust intake and thats about it and im losing traction right now. and in the rain and snow itsreally hard to keep them from spinning. hope this helps just dont buy any gsxs im looking at ahahaha jk
the reason i am going to rebild the engine is so that it will last a long time i am looking for one that has high milage so that it is cheaper preferably 100000 plus miles on it so that way it is like i am starting out new. you guys say i dont need the head, should i just have it rebuilt with somthing better buigger valves or springs or something if so what sould i build it with? havent figured out which one to get yet havent found a gsx i like they all have random crap wrong with them. and also havent figured out if it worth just sawping in a 6 blot it seams like its alot of money and alot of fabrication work any body done it?
