Default INJENS AND BOVS

Ok guys, i have just now become the proud owner of a 97 spyder gst and have already begun work on it. So far everything is stock but i have already ordered a new clutch kit from ACT as well their Streetlite fly wheel, also just bought some Iridium denso spark plugs with Bosch wiring. Anyways after I get this new cluch kit and fly wheel installed im planning on buying and injen short ram intake which states that it requires an after market blowoff valve to work. I was considering purchasing an HKS SSQV, though it's kinda expensive considering I would have to purchase a re-cirulation kit as well, So Im probally going with a greddy S. My question here though, is would i need to puchase some intercooler piping to hook up the bov to? Or could i just hook it up to the injen intake? Thanks guys, any advice would be appreciated.

I am pretty sure the injen intake does not require an aftermarket BOV. If it does, that means there is no hole in it for the recirculation kit. When you do get a BOV make sure you choose which one you want before you buy a new upper intercooler pipe because you will either have to buy one that has the right flange on it for your BOV or have one welded on. On another note about recirculation kits, depending on your preference of speed over sound, I would reccomend buying it. Your car wil run better because your engine will not run rich between shifts and your o2 sensors will last longer. Also, the recirculating air will help keep your turbo spooling, reduce turbo lag, and improve 1/4 mile times. I have the HKS SS BOV an vented to atmosphere for a while when I first bought it jus cause I loved the sound, but when I grew out of it, I got the kit, and it does make a difference.

you can not hook your bov up to your intake. you can make a adapter to fit what ever bov that you get to your stock intercooler pipe.but i would just change it at the same time.greddy is a good bov, and you will not need a kit to recirculate, your stock dumptube will work with it.
but if your lookin to save money and just want a good bov that doesnt have the real loud pssstttt then go with a 1g bov they are great and cheap. and i have a greddy type s that i will sell if you dont want tobuy a new one.

Injen intakes have a place for the stock resurculation tube. You will need a adapter or new Upper intercooler piping to use a Greddy Type S BOV. Its a good upgrade to get rid of the restrictive crapy stock plastick piping and go with some nice afftermarket piping, you will notice a big diffrence.

Check out www.clubmitsubishi.com They have a Type S BOV for $130 and afftermarket intercooler piping kits.
