by restrictive bull**** do you mean your MAS (the black box with a wiring harness connected to it)? sure you can do it, if you wana blow your motor once you reach 20+ mph

LOL yeah it all depends what you refer to as restrictive BS I would recommend looking into maybe an intake built for the car instead of trying to make a shadetree fix for it.

well thats what i mean.. i mean when you get an aftermarket intake.. does the mas still hook up to it? does it throw codes if its not that one... by restrictive bull**** i mean the whole like honeycomb thing that you can barely see through with the little tiny outlet into the tubing..

I dunno what you're talking about by the honeycomb thing. I myself on my Sentra took off ALL unnecessary tubing and covered up any holes that would possibly redirect or slow airflow down but they don't make a CAI for my '03 Sentra 1.8 so I'm SOL there for now.

you can cut or even remove the honeycomb...i wouldn't reccomend it. i took mine out, to see how it ran, and i just got scared that something would get sucked down through the intake arm...

the honeycomb pieces are not that restrictive. you can easily make up to 400whp with them all still in. just buy a filter to replace the airbox and leave it at that. im running mid 12s with all honeycomb still in. if you wana see what your car would drive like without the MAS tho, just unplug the wiring harness from it and start it up. you car is gonna barely move.

to remove honeycomb tho, you need to have an safc to richen it back up because the ecu wont see the extra air thats coming in.

16g turbo, safc, 680cc injectors, front mount, 3" exhaust etc jus the basics nothin fancy. with some more tuning and better driving im hoping for 11's before I upgrade the turbo but this one has been fun for now.
