RE: jUST RAN A COMPRESSION TEST
did the person you bought it from say that the internals had been replaced? what kind of power are you looking for? to get anything over 200whp you will end up spending apx 5k or so to get a safe running turbo. this is a full turbo kit, bottom end rebuild, tuning device and a tune. oh, and a new clutch, boost gauge, and wideband. just thought you should know the price of what you are about to do before you dig into it. basically you will be buyinga new car for the price of the upgrades to make ur car the stock hp of a gs-t or gsx.

it's not always that easy TJ however much i agree with you (and i do) but for somebody that doesn't have a good chunk of change as income you can't just buy another car and then sell yours.... usually ppl have to sell their car first which creates a problem b/c they don't have a car to get around until they get their new one. but i AM with you on that advise.

Selling and buying isnot really an option right now.. does anyone have any idea about the answer to my question?? I was going to purchess the hahn full turbo kit.. there site says 420a can handle 8psi on stock.. is this not true? because that would put my car around 250hp... any help is appreciated thank you

RE: jUST RAN A COMPRESSION TEST
Yes thats true. However its never that simple. When turboed these cares are very hard to get 100% right.
Even with all this work, you wont have a very fast car anyway. Not to mention you always run the risk of blowing the ring lands out.
Why is selling and buying a GST / GSX not an option right now?

RE: jUST RAN A COMPRESSION TEST
it can push you up to 250Chp... that is about 220-230whp. for this hp to be suported you will also need a clutch, that's another 500 added on to your 3000 for the kit. you will also want to get a tuning device so you aren't knocking and destroy your engine. AND yes Sebba is rigt that you run the risk of blwoing ur rings. unless you rebuild the bottom end... it's really not a good idea to turbo the cars. i'm not sure if the hahn kit comes w/ a bov or boost gauge but you'll want those also.

RE: jUST RAN A COMPRESSION TEST
For the price of the turbo kit and installation you might be able to find a gst or gsx you just gotta be patient and look around until you find what you want.If you don't have at least decent mechanical skills I wouldn't recommend undergoing this yourself.
