k&n or CAI
K&N make great intakes for v6's and v8's that they call the typhoon but they just don't like imports. a K&N air filter is TOTL and you basically cant beat it. i'd go with AEM or Injen CAI, they have been dynotested to say the coolest, flow the best and produce the most HP and w/ such crappy cars like 420a 1-2 hp makes a difference.
i'm riding in a 97 GS right now.
i was going to try and get a GST, but i couldn't see my first eclipse go like that.
i have loved the 2nd gens every since i seen one, and i didn't want to give up my first eclipse like that.
so i decided to give it littles mods, nothing major though

dc makes a really good set but they're expensive and you won't pass emissions with them because right now they're listed for offroad use only since they lack a place for the o2 sensor. You could always tap it, weld on anut, and insert the o2 sensor and then it would pass emissions. I think
DC makes a good header along with Weapon R. i bought my header off ebay from OBX Racing along w/ their 3" high flow cat. worked fine for me. but OBX is becoming a very well known product provider. they are like the cheap version of the good products out there but still get good gains. they just came out with a series of turbo's (gt28 atw to t77's and t80's that look very promising)
i had a lot of OBX products on my eclipse and never had a problem with anything from them. i had an OBX short shifter (in the beginning, later switched to B&M just b/c i wanted the name lol) front and rear strut bars, header, intermediate pipe, high flow cat... that's all i can think of but never had a problem w/ anything.
