Default Keyless Entry Installation

Hi,

I just found a installation guide for factory keyless entry installation on Mitsubishi Eclipse GS Spyder. Attached is the image. I have two questions about it:

1. Do you know where I could find a MB991529 tool to ground the terminal 1? (reference: http://www.realcaraudio.com/forums/p...threadid=47855)
2. Do you know where I could get a jumper wire; I am not sure how it looks like, can I get it from AutoZone or somewhere else?

Thank you in advance and I will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,

Flipz

The specialty tool you can find a mitsubishi dealership or through snap on. As far as the jumper wire is concerned that is generally something you make. Just get a wire and strip both ends and then stick those ends where they're telling you to jump.

Hey guys,

I will try this installation once I get back to my car but I was wondering one thing. With the key when I unlock the driver's door it is the only door that unlocks. I have to use the key by the door to unlock the other door. With the keyless entry installation when I click on unlock will both doors unlock or only the driver's side as with the key?

Thanks,

Svetlin

both will probably unlock cuase it will probably tap into the power locks. So it will imitate pushing the unlock button in the car on the door which opens both.

I'm assuming your keys have a computer chip (anti-theft). If so, I think you have to have 2 keys in order to get it to work. BUT, maybe that's only if you want the new keyless entry to be programmed into your existing keyfab. I called about getting a Viper Keyless/Alarm/Remote Start installed in my car a few weeks ago, but they told me it can't be done since I only have 1 ignition key. So I say again, make sure it will work before ya spend the $$$. I hope it does work and that all this was a waste of words

BTW: I doubt you will have any trouble if you're just trying to install a factory keyles entry hehe
