What are you talking about with being unable to install a viper keyless entry? I have the security chip in my keys and I got an autopage system installed...

They said I had to have 2 ignition keys in order to program the new keyfab to open my doors and be able to start the car. I called Fox Motors in Grand Rapids, MI and they said it would be $40 to buy another key, then I have to take it to a Mitsubishi dealership to get my key programmed to my car which costs another $40. I'm not sure why they need 2 ignition keys really.

That's retarded stupid... The ONLY reason you MIGHT need 2 keys is to have a key on the other FOB... They shouldn't have to dork with the keys at all... Not like you have to carry both keys around to start the car or whatnot... I think they fed you a line cuz someone was feeling lazy. I'd say take it somewhere else and have someone who WANTS your $ do it. I actually walked out on the primary company I wanted to install MY alarm (I was going to get a viper myself) because I walked in and 6 people in the place (Working not customers) all standing at the counter BSin. I walked around the place for 10-15 minutes and stood at the counter for 15-20 and not a 1 of them said a word to me. I figure they must not want money so I went to another shop.

If I were in that situation, I would try removing the kit and make sure everything works first before going any further. The paper clip was probably not such a good idea, jumper wires should always be grounded aside from connecting two circuits.
