well with dsm chips, if you make any mod. you can tell the guy who runs it that you made changes blah blah blah and he will send you a new chip for 20 bucks. as long as you send yours back

 

plus te, im lookin to getting this gsx running, and i have a pretty set mod list. Any upgrades that will be made won't be made for about a year or two. So it's not like i'm gonna be running an E316g one week on pump gas, then a gt37r the next week on race fuel, i'll be sticking with the e316g on 93 pump gas for quite a while. So this chip is definitely the thing for me to get for now, money wise and set-up wise

 

if your only running the 16g for a while and im sure the mods with it arnt gonna be that intricate. Why not just go with an safc. Cuz right now your kinda getting something in between the safc and dsmlink when the safc will do just fine for running the 16g up to about 20psi. I guess it depends on your setup

 

I have to agree with the Engineer on this, And since you have a 95, this means your ecu is ready for dsmlink correct?.... And if not then get the afc neo. Also it just so happens I have one for sale. doesnt have a mile of use on it. lol...but really. It only makes since to get a afc or dsmlink, in my opinion.

and what i have/will be running is a 880cc injectors, 255lph walbro fuel pump, 3" exhaust, burschur fmic, e316g, then if you want the rest of my mod list then look at my cardomain site... most of that stuff came with the car, and to get it all running im dumping a ton of money into it, and since the ecu+ the chip and reflash is cheaper than dsmlink, then that's what i'm gonna run in order to save money so i can get it running

 

And THATS why you shouldnt run SAFC II, cant handle those injectors.

nvm, got it, nubie you were right, he can set the factory boost gauge as a knock gauge, coolio... thanks for the input guys... and yes dsmlink will eventually get into my car, but for now and the budget that i have it's not a necessity. This is a pretty sweet upgrade to the ecu, it's got the octane reset like i mentioned before which will include turning the factory boost gauge into a knock gauge, a 2-step at 5500rpm and 8500rpm, eliminates fuel cut and airflow cap, increase my idle speed to compensate for the bigger cams and the lightweight fidanza flywheel, Cam/CAS inversion, random misfire MIL removal, deadtime compensation (to compensate for larger injectors risetime in lower rpm's) and socketing of the ecu... also available is an a/c cutout, which will automatically shut ur a/c off when you reach 5500rpm for those unexpected road races, but i'm choosin not to do that... all in all it's a really sweet set-up
