Well about two months back I got a new clutch, and struts put in, and afterwords there was a knockin noise everytime i accelerated... I took it back and they turned some bolts around on the suspension and it went away for th emost part, but i could still hear it every once and a while... a couple weeks ago i got rear ended and that same noise came back, but twenty times worse... has anyone had the same problem with knocking noise after suspension work?

Dude that's shytty. I'd make SURE they get rid of the knocking being that the other guy's insurance should pay for all work to be done to it. Tell 'em you didn't have the knocking before the accident now it's loud as hell LOL... I've never heard of a knocking from suspension work though... Where exactly is it coming from? What side of the car and front of back?

 

My car does it to, only when I accel in 1st and 2nd, also when I shift into 1st, 2nd, 3rd. And its also makes the noise every time I hit a bump... I have no idea what it is and I dont even want to mess with it, if you fuiger out exactly what it is hit me up with it.

 

i don't know if this would be it becuase i have a totally different car. But i had an annoying knock in my rear end and it would do it even over the smallest bump, so i looked around and i found that my sway bar where it bolts was broke, so idk if this helps, just throwing it out there.

 

is it just a knock or does it vibrate also?? i had a car a while back with a prety rough knock and vibration and it was one of my control arms. cost me 200 to fix but it worked.... duno if this is the same problem but hope this helps.

 

yea thats is also a good point my rear control arms were blown on my talon for 2 years and i never did fix it, but it was a really bad rattling over every bump. Only $200 huh, i probably should have just spent the money to fix it then, . Ah well not my problem anymore.

 

Its coming from the front.. sounds and kinda feels like the front right.. so do think it still might be a control arm??

 

my 99 rs does the same ****,rattels like hell from the left side rear I think,when it starts gettin on my nerves I just turn the stereo up...lol

 

Does it happen when you turn? Like a steady click click click? Or is it a clunk once in a while?

 

It was just a clunk.. type sound.. but I got my car back today, and they seemed to have fixed it, so i have no clue what it was...
