launching

RE: launching
when you pull up to the line or at a light push the gas and brakes but dont power brake just before the power break and when the light is green slam the gas and lets go of brake. works great in most auto cars/trucks.

RE: launching
theres no direct forumla for the perfect launch you need to go out there and practice. i ahve no idea about auto cars, but for manual awd cars a good point is around 4300-5300 rpms. start lower and see how the car does, if it boggs off the line ( kinda stutters), you need to rev higher to build more boost. if you go too high it will be pretty hard on your tranny though

RE: launching
with the auto test it just the right amout of throtle to not power brake or move this will give you a quick launch i dont like to say this but the way i learned this trick is by being with my cuz when he raced a gsx in a drango and beat it. this made the launch amazingly fast seen him as well as others do it.

RE: launching
the best way of launching an automatic cars without having problems with the gear box is pushing the throttle at the same time as breaks, look for the point that the car doesn't move and when you have the green light just let go the breaks

can someone explain the concept of power breaking. Becuase i floor it and hold the breaks to launch and it only revs to about 2200 RPMS and wont go any higher..

if you want to rev higher, replace your torque converter with a higher stall torque converter.
BTW, what you do, its called power braking. so you already know how to do it.
