So my baby has got a tick. Lower rpm. goes away when oil pressure is higher. Bout due for oil change. But ive heard both are possibilities. Did 95 have the 1mm hydraulic lifters or 3mm. Anybody else having this prob?

 

fixed... lifter tick... a good dose of synthetic.

im still worried about the crank walk though... still hear a slight tick everyonce and a while.... and mitsu really screwed up when they made their cranks, so i still have to be careful

 

Hmmm.....what year is your car?
I know 97-99's are the victims...but the 97's are the worst....very rare in 95-96's.
It could be a bad rod bearing...the green demon had some nasty ticking and once we pulled the engine, that's what it was chief.

yeah yeah... 95 had the prob too... just not as prevelant.. so i can only hope... could just be the lifter being awnry
