Default Light problem

Yesterday driving back home my guage light, console light, side markers and rear lights went out. I know the bulb in all those didn't burn out because when i arm the alarm on my car all those blink and turn on. Can anybody help or had this problem before. I dont think its the rotating *** switch because i can still turn on and off my front head lights and high beam.

Most likely you have a barewire somewhere that is shorting out...

Well i knew i smelt smoke from the engine bay area so i knew that area would be the culprit. Stuck in a larger fuse turn on the lights and look for smokes and it turned out my passenger side, side marker was the problem. Previous owner took out the mud guard to open up the intercooler and the bulb socket came out of the holding spot and was exposed to splashing water and shorted out the connection. But by doing the larger fuse i ended up melting the entire socket and blowing the bulb. Just cut the socket wiring and taped it all up shoved it back in and will be ordering a new socket.
