Like My Paint Progress?

RE: Like My Paint Progress?
I want an electronic controlled air ride suspension, not hydro...but those kinds you can set for racing or casual driving. So, it's gonna cost me a lot of $$$, the paint will only be $4,000 if I don't do it myself.

ORIGINAL: Sanguinius
Yeah but that's the problem. It's STOCK meaning ANYONE can have it. That's why I hate my paint jobs.

Factory paint jobs are nowhere near as good as custom. They are mechanically sprayed on, they DON'T get wet sanded. lack paint will always have a mirror look to it because the light reflects from it so much more than lighter colors. But if you were to take your car now and sit it next to the same car painted the same color by a pro. The other car would look as though it were covered with a thin layer of smooth water. That's what the $$$ is for.

Not bad. Also remember you'll likely need a primer and clearcoat. Like I said PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. Get some shyt paint that you can dork with and spray scrap metal before you try the car. Get used to the gun first and how to do things so you don't get runs in your new paint job.

Well, if I buy my paint from Sherwin Williams the paint comes already mixed with hardener and thinner ready to spray. And yeah, I'll have to practice on something first but I usually learn fast when it's hands on. I am a little worried about getting the metal flae to lay right though, the guy at the body shop said it can be difficult.
