Default A little info for once please. Exhaust

Well after a few bolts snapped I finally removed the oem exhaust, but thebolts used to hang the original exhaust didnt survive after much abuse. Now lacking the original bolts, I have no idea what size/length/thread bolts Im supposed to hunt down to hang the new exhaust. And with no responses from the company, I gotta find something out. Does anyone here have any input?

they dont screw into anything do they. I thought they were just a simple bolt/nut combo. So it shouldnt really matter that you get the exact size. As long as you get the length and diameter correct which you can pretty much eyeball

Well the metal hangers on the new exhaust have threads to them, and the old hangers had bolts with a but on the other side of the hanger. I was unable to salvage any of them before getting rid of the exhaust. Ive already guessed twice on a matching thread to the new exhaust and failed, I still dont have it hung. Im very tempted at this point to just go to the parts store with the section of pipe and hanger and go thru til I find a match.

sounds to me like your exhaust should have come with those bolts. You really dont have much of a choice but to guess and check

Yea.. I was really hoping to avoid doing that... I may end up just walkintothe parts store with a section of the exhaust and get funny looks as I try matching bolts to a bigass stainess pipe lol. Been a slowgoing project car since may hopin to make real progress soon.
