I had to change the fuel pump on my moms 2002 Cavalier today...

On my back.

On a gravel driveway.

In the effing rain.

Yea...

No fun.

i just paid $1800 for a 97 Gs and it sounds like it has less problems.

it sounds worth it to me... depending on the radiator hose leak. if it's a simple top or bottom rad hose than yes. that's 15 bucks for both at advanced auto, a fuel pump you can get for less than 100 bucks these days so lets figure you talk him down to 2000 +100 + 15 + all together 1 1/2 - 2 hrs to change thesee 3 things... the longest part of either of these processes is draining the radiator fluid and fillin it back up. go for it man.
