Hello, this is my first post to this forum so happy to be apart of this. Anyway, I own a beautiful a Black 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS stock. I bought some Bomz Racing Coil-Overs the other week and I am about to have my car lowered where I work. I am lowering my car by 2 inches, enough to clear speed bumps. I know that my rear chamber will be off and needed adjustment but what about alignment. Will the alignment be way off after the modification, or will I have a serious problem. Also, anybody know how to fix the rear chamber cheap without have to buy a kit. Thanks.

Welcome to the site! Their is a way to make a home made kit but if your not good with your hands I would say get the kit. Also your deff going to want to fix the camber, 2 inches is a nice big drop and the car will handel alot better but if your going to do it try to do it right... it saves money in the long run. Also the alignment will/should be fine, just rember the proper way to put rims on and you will be stright, pun totally intended.

Yeah, mine is lowered two inches... and it went through tires like there was no tomorrow... What i had done, was getting a camber kit for the front, and shimmy the back... place i got it done at.. got it almost perfect, and my tires wear nice now

I'm wanting to get my 97 Eclipse RS lowered myself... Not sure how much, but probably 2" or so.. Does it really matter what brand of Coilovers to buy? Are there certain kinds? etc, etc...
And what is the homemade way you're speaking of Slow ?

The coilovers that I got were from ebay, they are Bomz Racing Coil-Overs. I also got my underdrive pulley from ebay but i found out that the lengths for the belts are strange so it is hard to find them, thats why i haven't done that part yet. But, the lowering of two inches should only effect the back camber or do i need to take care of the front as well. Because how it looks, we are going to play with it and try to work with it. The only thing that scares me is that I have brand new performance tires on the car and I don't want them taken out, not enough money to replace. Also, what do u mean by shimmying the back, I was going to fix it like Team 2GNT did it. But is it the back I need to worry about or both.

Remove the space between the 2g and nt for the link to work.
Also the rs/gs suspension is shot after you lower the car more than an inch and a half, not saying that it wont work but its going to be a bumpy ride.
