Hey well for me I guess the bad news never ends. I took of the manifold on my 98 GSX to find that its warped and cracked. I thought the 2nd gen manifold were tuffer. Well anyhow I would like some suggestions. Should i replace it with a stock or go for something extra. I have a 16g turbo if that makes any difference.

 

im assuming you mean your exhaust manifold. The only good upgrade that you could do on it is to get a tubular manifold in replace of the stock one. For one of those your looking at around $400-700 wheras the stock manifold you can get for between 200-300. I actually came across a ported one brand new for $275. The tubular manifold will increase you hp a little. I dont know the exact #'s though.

 

I would say get a ported 2g manifold opposed to the hedder style. It will give you more top end but also give you more turbo lag. Where the ported on will flow more cfm's over stock and wont give you a whole lot of turbo lag.

 

Maybe this might help narrow down my suggestion. I would just like something to compliment a 3 inch down pipe and evo 02 housing. Tryin to cut down on turbo lag as much as possible. But thanks for your suggestion. My pockets aren't deep enough for the tubular style lol. $200-300

 

then just get a ported manifold. I dont know of any other places, there might be. But here is one that sells them
