Thats true. Forgot intercooler piping. I dont have that yet because I was planning on dropping in a front mount intercooler after I drop that 16G turbo. I still have that soft intercooler piping.... (which is gay) I guess I should buy that intercooler piping for the side mount for now. Thanks for reminding me.

 

Do you have to have intercooler piping? I didnt think I needed intercooler piping.

you def need new piping. the stock pipes are waaaay to restrictive. i'd replace those before boosting anymore.

What if I buy a front mount with my stock turbo. I know it doesnt help much. But what would actually happen? Will I lose power instead?

 

you wouldnt gain power, but as long as it isnt a HUGE fmic, you wont lose too much power.

why not just install the FMIC w/ the stock turbo. make less work for you in the future.

You wont loose power, but you will gain horsepower, by by putting on the FMIC unless, like said before, it's a HUGE Front Mount. Then you'll loose some power.

A front mount is used A. To look Cool, and B. lower temperatures. By installing a normal FMIC (of if you want to contiunue to look stock, a Supra Side Mount) it has more area that cools the air (duhh i know, but i have a point). more, cooler air into eninge, more horse power. so why not just put the thing on? it look awesome.

plus if you're getting the MBC then raise the stock turbo's psi up a little bit, not a lot though. it's a crappy turbo. I'd say a safe range is either 14 or 15 psi w/ stock turbo.
