Default manual TRANSMISION

i need a new tranny for my 2000 GT. Can anybody tell me the best place where I can get a used tranny and if anybody is selling one please tell me. Post back here or e-mail me at Jokerman5151@aol.com

Junk yards are you best bet. I got a full motor with 3k onj it for $800 buck for my old 3G at a junk yard. Keep in mind the 2G stratus shares the same motor and tranny.

Yup junkyard. I got a tranny from a yard for about $500. So thats your best bet. Usually if you can search online junkyards they should tell you which cars they came from so you will know all the different cars that it will work for

are you sure that a stratus trans fits on it? i wont have any problems or anything right? what years is a 2g stratus?

they are around the same year as your car. I dont know the actual years that you would be looking for, but it is in the 2000+ i believe

i just did a quick search of junk yards in mass and the cost ranged from $450-$600 depending on the junk yard. For some reason the ones from the stratus were more expensive.

it would be the 99-03(or 04) stratus coupe. in his case particular, he would be looking at the stratus coupe R/T since the R/T has the V6.

Strat R\T = 3G Eclipse GT
Strat SXT(i think it is called?) = 3G eclipse rs\gs all parts are the same right down to the dash boards and interior (for the most part strats dash did change I belive at some point)
