Default megan downpipe

got a practically new 3" megan downpipe the other day for 55 bucks. after some wasted time trying to fit it to the stock cat back, i noticed it wouldnt fit at all. So i went searching and couldnt find a megan cat back. I was already thinking i would just go to meineke and get a custom cat back(for 95-99 awd), but im just wondering, which cat backs will fit onto the megan downpipe?

why wasnt it fitting onto the stock cat-back? was it cuz it was too long/short, or that its didnt have the right bolt pattern on the flange?

What catback do you have?

I was planning on buying a Megan downpipe for mine. I am not sure now though.

Greddy Evo 2.

What size piping did you get (downpipe)? 3" piping right? Are you putting that on with your stock exhaust?

yeah its a 3" downpipe. I wanted to connect it to my stock cat back for now, but it wont work. I also just called meineke and they said it would be $300 for the custom bent 3" cat back, then some extra for muffler.

If your greddy cat back fit to the stock downpipe/cat, the megan downpipe wont fit your catback without modification. You could probably take either part to meineke or any exhaust shop, and have them re-weld the piece in the right place.

it might fit mine actually. It came with a little extra piece that connects the catalytic converter to the my catback exhaust. It connects to my 3" catback and sizes down to my stock downpipe. It about 2-3 inches long, maybe shorter.
