I was wondering...there's now MIVEC. If the LS integra can go LS V-tec, can our cars go 4G64 MIVEC? Our engine is about the same as those on the Evo except ours is detuned and in a different position.

um, the heads fit, thats about as far as you go tho. you would need a different computer and stuff and its not just as easy as swapping the heads. and no the 4g64 is not the same as the evo 4g63

You guys crack me up. Do me a favor. Get a picture of our 4g63, then pull up a pic of the Evo 4g63. Then tell me why you couldn't do it.

(not to mention the fact that you'd need to swap ECU's)

from what i see way to much work in motor bay the motors are 180deg difference so the exhaust manifold would be facing the firewall unless you did some major overhaul on motor and tranny mounts not to mention the bolt patter and water/oil jackets wouldn’t line up because of the way the motor faces only way i could see it done is a longblock motor and wiring harness swap along with alt starter and tranny...... in other words if u could get your hands on a whole front clip of a newer eclipse or any other model that has a mivec which would be a lot of money it could not be done it would be a lot easier to buy a car that came with a mivec and rebuild the whole longblock for a turbo ......
