sigh... well nobody has said anything yet but i think everybody is overlooking the fact that by modding this non gs-t/gs-x to the point that you want to mod it to (turbo etc) you are going to have an unreliable car.. is this your daily driver?? it is A LOT harder to make the 420a a reliable turbo engine than the 4g63. i dont care if you rebuild everything.. your still going to have more problems with the car.. so until you swap out the tranny clutch and rebuild the motor and spend thousands and thousands my advice would be to stay away from a turbo unless you sell your car and buy a gs-t or gs-x.. just my opinion

i have to argue with that.. you can build a yugo to have 300hp and be fully reliable if its done correctly.

a friend of mine has a 420a with a s20g, and it is his daily driver, putting out around 300hp, but it is fully built, ground out

well i do plan on swapping out the tranny, clutch and rebuiling the motor... that is not JUSTw/ my are but it would be with any car that i had... so i don't see much point in spending another 2000 on a car where i'll be doing the exact same thing. b/c just because it's turbo i would still swap it out for a bigger and better one... so no offense but i just don't see much point in spending more money and doing the same things that i'll be doin to mine... but thank you for the post and opinion

you forget the fact that in my area a 420a cost 3-4 grand less than a gs-t/gsx and for that sam amount you can putsh 300hp and be fine and i dont give a **** what you say a new motor Built for a turbo is just as good as a 4g63 for the fact that a 4g63 and a 420a are differant becuase the boar and stroke have to be differant for the turbo at highr boost. ex. look at all the honda corvette viper and so on that turbo there cars and they last just as long as a N\A.

ok so i've decided to keep my engine and turbo it and do whatever i need to do to make it work and be reliable. one thing, the psi for the HAHN stage 2 is only 8... as i mentioned before i don't know a whole lot about engines i wish i did but this number seems pretty small compared to some of the cars i've heard about, what is PSI? and what does it control? and how do you make that a higher number??
