i just recently purchased a 98 RS automatic i was wondering if there are any somewhat cheap little things i could do to speed her up a but...i know its an auto but we all have to start somewhere right? and does anyone know of a way to get a auto shift **** on this car with out cutting the O/D switch? be much helpful

 

intake and exhaust will do the trick, you dont need a shift ****...wont help anything, just do as much bolt on stuff as you can afford, and that will speed ya up a bit

 

Well the best thing you can do with a n/a engine is to increace flow and remove all restrictions. This will mostly be intake and exhaust. Headers will be your biggest gain... then maybe an intake or something. If you save up for a while and know a little about cars (if you dont know a whole lot then dont even try this!) you could get a turbo kit. They run roughly $2500 to $3500.
