Default Help with next mod

i have a 90 tsi awd with a 16g, sbr fm intercooler, 550 cc injectors, 3 inch exhaust all the way back, and dsm link. i have 800$ (at the moment) and i was wondering what a good next supporting mod would be. i was thinking 264 cams or a light weight flywheel.

You clutch is going to be toast... how about that for your next investment?

Also these you might want to put on your list if you dont already have them: Exhaust, intake, BOV.

i forgot to mention the intake but i said it had the exhaust. a clutch is not too important becuase its a brand new stock clutch, and i dont beat the crap out of my car.

cams at this point. Since you have a brand new clutch, and you dont beat on it, it should hold for a good 5-7 months(heavy use). For the money, it's your best best for power.

Or some good drag radials, so you wont spin all fours.

You would be suprised how quickly it will chew through that clutch. The flywheel would cost you the same to install it as the price of it.

I think alky/meth injection would be a good investment. They are $250+ or less if you build it yourself. Perhaps a bigger TB elbow to match the IC piping.
It's most likely just me, but I think cams are a bit much with having a 16G that flows 500-550CFM range (depending on which one he has). The 1G motor breathes just fine for that turbo as it is IMO, but you will still most likely have knock issues and that's where the alky/meth injection comes into play. Check out some DSMtimes and see what those guys with the 16Gs are running and their times, I'm pretty certain that most of them didn't have cams and were in the mid to low 12's. I'll have to check again, just to make sure though
If not those, then I say a heavier clutch too. A lightweight flywheel and stock clutch combo will most likely burn out the clutch fairly fast. Do that right the first time IMO. I'm going to assume that you have a pump and regulator too, since it's not listed up there and since you have 550cc injectors already. If not, get them before anything else.

you have DSM Link but how did they tune your car? you didn't list a wideband or EGT Gaugeon your car that's why i asked. just makin sure you didn't just throw this stuff on your car and expect it to be fast w/o tuning lol. you can get a really nice valve job for about 200-250 that will help out quite a bit especially if you throw cams in there after you do ur valve job!!

The cams (264) which is a mild cam would just help the turbo spool harder than it does now. i dont think i would have a problem with knocking. i could also just pocket the money and save for a br stage 3 shortblock and head.
