I know that the stock 420a motor can only handle about 400hp then u start to lose alot of traction. So my question is what motor upgrades can i make for prevent this?

 

First all i dont see you making 400hp on your 420a. Second, get youself a cold air intake, Headers and exaust.
Thats gonna be pretty much it. unless you wanna spend a $hitload of money for turbo, but if you do that your gonna need new injectors, intake and fuel pump

 

i already know what im going to buy. I plan to buy a mhi evoIII 16g turbo, greddy evoII exhust, new headers, aem v2 intake, new injectors, fuel pump, sbr 2 disk clutch kit, ect. I just need to know how i can upgrade the motor

 

what do you mean upgrade the motor? like swap it out for a different one?? if so.. forget it

 

The 420a will not handle 400 hp without a **** load of money invested. I believe your thinking
of the 4g63 that comes in the gst/x. You might want to do a little more research on the 420a.

 

dude you have no idea what you're talking about, ya need to do a search first. first of all, you can't just turbo a 420a, you're thinking of a 4g63 motor that the gst's and gsx's have... and you can't buy a aem v2 intake for a turbo car anyway, those are only made for a n/a car...as for the fuel pump and injectors you dont need those... and the stock 420a can't hold nearly 400hp, that's the 4g63... so if you want to turbo your car, you're gonna need a forged bottom end rebuild and a $hitload of money, it's much more worth it to buy a gsx or gst... and to answer ur other question your gonna start having traction problems around 300-350hp on a fwd car

i think what he means is whats inside the motor. lifters, cams, rocker arms? maybe. idk

 

I dont know he said he was "getting" a gsx ,but then was asking about the cai he was wanting to put in so IDK
