Default MSD Ignition Question

If i get the MSD 4 tower coil pn 8229 should i get the MSD ignition control 2 which is part number 6211 for added performance?
or does the ignition control really help that much, and if it does, are they hard to intstall?

Is this for an eclipse? the stock ignition system is actually quite good and just some better plug wires are all you need for 10 second quarter miles. I dont know if this is going to be money well spent.
