My car is ****ed...
So, i'm on my way home and i'm on the Hwy, and for some reason the car starts bogging down and acting funny.....so i pull over to inspect....and that's when i see it. Smoke. No clue why...just smoking.....check my oil and there's light smoke coming out from the dipstick hole. I was like wtf!? So, after waiting almost an hour for ONE (a bloody miracle, I might add) person to stop and offer some assistance, I'm sitting back in my office waiting for my gf to come get me. Damn it, this week, I have some things to get, FIRE EXTINGUISHER & CELL PHONE!! Jeez, now i have to drive BACK out there, and call a tow truck...man this sucks. The sad part is, I don't want to try and start the car, because if i do, I'm not sure if it'll start a bloody fire.

man DSMBISHI, that's sad news. Im sorry. Well my best wishes go to the mitsu, and hopefully your car will be back on the street in no time smoking hondas. Reply back to update on your car.

that sucks. I hope it's nothin major. internal engine parts are not at all easy on the wallet. (especially mitsu). hey maybe it will be something you can use as an excuse to get an "upgrade".
Well, after finlly getting the car restarted, I think it's a definite internal problem. The engine is tapping REALLY bad, and it sounds alot like a rod. ****. The starter is about ****ed also. I had the car towed to my office parking lot on Saturday afternoon, and I just tried to restart it. Nada, it's not turning over and it's makinga squealing sound. The engine is definitely seized....timing belt is still in one piece, so most likely, the rod & piston combo that was installed, might have been defective. My options right now are pretty slim, but i'm going to purcahse a low-mileage short block and have a shop re-install another set of low compression parts. I guess, greatness comes with a price, huh? My girl keeps telling me, Rome wasn't built in a day.....so i guess I'll just be patient. I'll still be on the site though. If anyone knows of a reliable spot to get a 420A shortblock...hit me up.

Maybe it vapor locked... try taking out a spark plug and see if it's all wet and chit. Motors don't usually vapor lock while the car is running, but you never know, might be as simple as a blown head gasket. I'll keep my fingers crossed...

Well, got an update...I called Mitsu yesterday and spoke w/a friend of mine that runs the repair shop. Turns out (luckily for me), when I had my car repaired, they included the 12 month/12k mile warranty....so the car will go back to them sometime this week....so it's a win/win for me. Either they ****ed up the install and will have to replace my parts...or I'll atleast get to find out what the problem is.
Bad still...but atleast, I'm not stuck w/my tail between my legs like some bitch.
