no, i can EITHER stroke the engine to 12.5-1 compression ratio (building the engine) -OR- turbo the engine which would require me to bore the block, and get forged pistons, rods, rings.... thats what i'm asking... how about i make this easy. does anybody know how much HP gain going from stock 420a - a 12.5-1 compression ratio would give you?
12.5 compression/stroked= 15.2ish(depends on other bolt ons)

5psi= 15.00 1/4 mile run

10psi= 14.5 1/4 mile run

after boost motor build

15psi= 13.8 1/4 mile run

20psi= 13.00 1/4 mile run

25psi= 12.6 1/4 mile run

I have never seen any 420a eclipse run a faster track time on higher boost, very few people go that far.

i thought i made this clear but lets do it again... i already had a GSX i just sold it, i'm tryin to get some power out of my GS for the next year and a half, b/c next oct/nov i'm gettin a permanent car! the reason i sold the gsx and kept the gs is because insurance is cheaper and im tryin to keep my bills to a minimum so i can save as much as possible for my car next year. so once again, does anybody know how much HP you will gain going from a stock 420a to a 12.5-1 compression engine will give you?????
Dude dont waiste your money on the GS if your only gonna get rid of it. That is my advise comeing from someone who was once in the same situation a few years back and I did waiste my money on the GS and it was a HUGE mistake. I sold the car with $8500 in receipts between mods and other stuff and I sold the car for $8500 and I owed $8400 on it so I lost alot of money for that stupid mistake

x2, If you want a fast car keep your gs as a daily driver and buy a 1g gsx for a weekend/fast car.

you won't break 200whp with a FULL engine build.
