I'm new to the whole import scene. I just received a 1997 mitsubishi eclipse, the motor was swapped from an automatic to a stick and now the car wont start. i believe its the ECM/ECU, but i dont have the doner car in which it came from. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

more info......1997 eclipse, 2.0 ltr manual transmission. the motor came from a 1997 eclipse with a automatic transmission. motor worked fine in the car with the auto trans but now it wont start in the manual trans. I do not know if they swapped the ecu/ecm from the manual to the auto or vice versa. car wants to start but I believe its not getting any spark.

 

sounds like you forgot to hook something up
