What would be the best motor toswap infor a 2nd gen eclipse that I could get the most potential, HP, and Torque from?

I was told either the cyclone motor, evo motor, or 3000gt motor.

I believe the evo motor wouldn't work because of it's placement, but am I wrong?

I am looking at a gs right now, but if you tell me that the evo motor can go into the gsx, I will be getting a gsx lol.

 

I don't think that you will be able to swap a Evo motor into it. I have never heard of tha tbeing done. If you get a GSX or GST then those motors have a ton of potential, what are your power goals? You can get 400hp pretty easily form them on the stock internals.

 

Don't really have a power goal as of right now. I have everything for body, interior and ****. But I was just wondering what would be the best for it.

I would just buy a GSX you get AWD and a motor that comes turbo (210 hp) it is a great place to start!

 

So best bet would be, as you said, get a GSX.


After that, just build up the motor and suspension and put on a diff turbo?

 

If you plan on doing a bodykit/painting your interior or cutting out your airbags and putting in a screen... DO NOT get a GSX. DO NOT get a GST.... get a Honda CRX hatch.

 

I'm good on all that ****. I'm not all into the honda ****. Mine eclipse is going to look stock, but not under the hood or in the interior. I don't plan on doing any of that bull****.

steering wheel


That's really about it. Other than that, just changing **** to JDM
