Default Need help with my 96 eclipse

My car starts just fine, I can drive it until the engine warms up. Once the engine is warm the car sputters and won't accelerate. If I switch the key to accessory, then back to on I can drive for a couple of minuets, then it starts sputtering again and I repeat the process. I have no idea what could be causing this, and any help is very much appreciated!

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to buy some new plugs and plug wires and put them in.

err. CHECK the ignition system before just replacing things.
Plugs you can just replace as a matter of course

I have been having a very similar problem with my 97 eclipse. Except when it would start to sputter i would push in the clutch and it would usually coast fine. But as soon as I let the clutch back in it starts sputtering and dies. Changed out the ecu (I had a spare one sitting around) and the plugs and the problem continued. What parts of the ignition system would you check and how would a novice shade-tree mechanic go about doing that?
