Default Need Help Please read!!!!!

Ok so my turbo died. the turbine inside is jammed and stopped turning. it started making a weird backfiring kind of noise before it stopped working. i bought a new one on ebay. It worked fine for about a week or 2 and it started making the same noise the other one made and now this one has died. I am starting to think that something else may be the problem and causing the turbo's to break. Any suggestions?

yeah....do you run your car filter-less for extra power?

did you get both your turbos off of ebay? If theyre some really crappy brand they could just suck...

It actually kind of sounds like your oil lines may be jammed, or you're not pumping oil into the turbo at all which will result in it getting way too hot, then seizing completely.

I am using a filter. the oil line might actually be the problem... the first turbo was the stock turbo and the second was a garett t25 aswell. however when i took the first one off there was no signs of oil in the turbo at all it was completely dry... if it is an oil line problem how do i fix it? and could it be the oil filter or a bad oil pump or something?

the only way to fix the oil line would be to figure out where it is clogged (check the lines)

Also remember, they may not be clogged, they could just be pinched. You cant really fix a bad clog or pinch...just gotta replace the lines.

and its not the oil pump, otherwise your engine would probably die before your turbo

Did the turbo you get off ebay have shaft play? If so that could be the problem.
