lowering springs wont help the handling of the car, work on the sway bars and new axles, but lowering looks cool, but dont spend 500 to make your car cool, **** that it looks cool anyways...

ill install them for $50 all you need is a spring compressor and its very easy. if they said 400 maybe they assumed you need a camber kit, how low are they? 1.3 should be okay without one. but yea if you care at all about handling get shocks over springs. intake: all you need is a filter an adapter : $50 or $90 if you want k&n. build a custom cold air box out of sheet metal/insulation and it will give you as much power as an intake will, especially if u have no front mount.

Shocks will give you a better improvement then springs but springs aren't useless alone. Most springs do more then lower your car, they are also stiffer at least and the ones that are worth buying for most applications are proggresive so you will get a decent ride most of the time but when you corner and the spring starts to compress the rate gets higher. These are of course the milder of springs, I'm not talking about a 3" drop, that's an asthetic thing.

$50 to install springs??? Where you at again? As soon as mine is running and I have the $ for springs I'm comin by!!! You do shocks that cheap too??? (Sorry I HATE playin w the suspension would MUCH rather do a head gasket job thann play w the springs and shocks)

im in socal.
springs do almost nothing for DSM's. lowering our car does not help handling much at all, and if you pair aftermarket springs (very stiff) with the stock shocks (very weak) you will have a worse ride and the stock shocks will wear out A LOT faster.

yea, if your gonna do the suspension, do the springs, shocks, and sway bars all at the same time, you will def see a significant improvement over the stock setup..... and lowering does help the handling of the car, it lowers the center of gravity makin it harder to induce body roll..........

springs do theoretically help hanlding by lowering the center of gravity but on DSM's it have been shown to be minimal improvement, and without shocks, the handling with aftermarket springs will be worse and more unpredictable.
