There is a guy a mile from me with an auto body/paint shop. He repainted my bumper on my '02 S-10 Xtreme and clear coated it for $100 and it looks better than brand new.

If I get a body kit of some sort, I'll be asking him to do it for me. Especially since he's a mile from my house.
sounds likea rich guy that doesn't want/need to make any money. it would cost just about 100 bucks just for the paint for a bumper.

Well I don't live in a high priced area, so it's not like he needs/could charge too high a price for the paint job. My family knows him pretty well, so it's possible he did it at or around cost. Plus I paid cash which probably helped.

Great guy and has been doing body restorations and painting for a long time, so he's got the know how.

He didnt use 100$ to buy that little bit of paint and clear. More than likely if he paints alot then he had all the little things laying around and it cost alittle bit for some paint.

mixing paint to make a particular color isn't a simple job. unles he has his own shop or paint booth he would have to buy it from a company.

Oh im not saying its simple to mix paint but if he went and bought some paint then a small pint isnt very expense especially if its a stock color done by paint code.

I had a small dent removed just shy of my drivers side door near the rear 1/4 panel from a hit and run sideswipe and it cost me $1180 plus he painted my gas cap too.

well my paint job on my car plus the molding of my body kit only cost me 1500 bucks and for the first week or so i was soooo psyched about it but after getting used to it i started picking out flaws and wow... you REALLY get what you pay for! my front bumper is chipped all to hell, the paint scratches pretty easy... just not good quality, and not to mention that they didnt prime it... how stupid is that?
