hey guys, just a 93 rx7 tt, for a i believe 96 eclipse gs-t turbo. im just wondering where i should start with everything, and trying to find my way around the forum. The car has 110,000 miles, how long do these cars normally last. it has an after market intake, and an exhaust thats pretty loud, not sure what brand its about 3" in diameter. the timing belt case is off, witch sounds like the car has been raced, and gears wine a little in first. any answers will be greatly appreciated.

also is this the best forum for eclipses??? and is there a search link?

yes up top there is a search link. I have a 95 gsx that has 210,000 miles and a 95 talon tsi awd that has 135,000 but im doing a motor swap. Life depends on how the car was taken care of. Your car is prone to crank walk since it has the 7 bolt motor. Make sure you change the oil every 3k miles. Change ur tranny fluid asap just to be on the safe side. Use good oil in ur car, not $0.89 oil. a gst is turbo. The T means its turbo. Gst's are fwd. 3" exhaust is good. Why would having the timing belt case off mean its been raced?

crankwalk sucks.lol. I'll let mike explain, im to tired. A 6 bolt is better because it is rare for them to crankwalk, 7 bolts a prone to crankwalk. the 1990-1992.5 had a 6 bolt. The 1992.5-1999 had a 7 bolt

i traded my rex for the eclipse sorry i didnt state that.

my rex had 103,000 miles and kept flooding on me i had little money no credit to buy a reliable car, so i traded it cuz i had to get to work.

93 rx7 tt, sequential twins.
intake
dual racing beat exhaust
ast
99 spec tail lights
etc.

stock ecu. but she was fun!!! had her up to 150+ on the freeway. handled awesome, its just that those rotary engines aren't reliable at all. GREAT TRACK CAR THOUGH!!!

well alright thanx, il continue searching, and if anyone has a link to an engine bay diagram that would be awesome, i just traded the car tonight, so i havent had time to look at it.

My talon has 148,000 miles and on engine #3, but theyve all been abused horribly. be nice to it, it will be nice to you, drive like me youll spend more time fixing it than behind the wheel.
