id go the fuel route first. Even though you still wouldnt want to boost more than 18psi on that before you start to overwork the IC. But i think its the more important of the 2

wait... you put hard piping on the stock intercooler? lol i guess that's one way to get a couple more ponies... but i don't see the HP benefit outweighing what ever you paid for that.

i'd also go the fuel route. you won't be able to boost anything over prolly 13-15 psi before the fuel cuts out for you. when you buy your FMIC you will have to buy new piping to go along with it as well.

Yeah, well I didn't exactly get hard piping by choice.... Here is how it went: I wanted a 1g bov so I was like these flanges are like $30 why not just go with Dave Brode UICP it is not really that much more. So I did that. Then I installed the EVO III and got the J pipe, then the LIC hose didn't fit so I bought the RRE 16g lower pipe. So by default I basicially have all hard IC piping.

So 18psi is hte max on stock IC?

back on topic. yes 18 is the absolute max you could push and that's even pushing it w/o a FMIC... perstonally to keeep from high intake temps and detonation/knocking i wouldn't go above 12-15 psi until i got a fmic. but tha's just me, i'm very aware and very weary of what high intake temps can do to an engine.

Also if you get a safc then you will also need to get a wideband gauge. Otherwise you wont be able to tune anything.

Fuel mods. However, you wont be able to boost to the max yet, because you will be heat soaking the stock SMIC. Fuel mods for the win tho!
