there's a ground spot attached to the intake manifold... already had something being grounded. That's where I grounded mine.

Ok, well I have been getting the same gas mileage as before with stock wires and standard NGK plugs. The only place I noticed a difference was when I floored it to pass this one dude.. I seemed to get up and go faster than before, but it wasn't that big of a difference.

The nology hotwires are a definate waste of money. Not worth the money.. I paid about 160 bucks for these things. Yet another life leason learned by doing. lol

I may be wrong but I think they're more designed to be used with a full nology system. using one or 2 components would be akin to getting bigger valves and using the same cams, Or port'n'polishing and not bothering to get the CAI... Just my opinion. I also understand the theory behind the wires. My Sentra is set up stock like that. I don't have spark plug wires. I have individual sets of regular wires going to a capacitor box that connects to my plug. I never have to change plug wires LOL I'll take a pic later and show you guys what I mean. But essentially what happens is the charge builds in the cap and when the cap is full it sends out the full charge at once. I guess a good comparison is turn on your sink. Now turn it off. That was your spark charge. Now turn on the sink and cup your hands under it when your hands fill dump them. That's the nology/capacitor idea. Hope you guys understand what I am trying to say here.

I know how a capacitor works, I'm just saying its not doing anything worth the money. [8D]

the iridum plugs really help n make sure you go with a colder one like an 8 or 9. that will give a more noticable power difference. as i stated i did my free mods the same da so that prolly was where i got my difference. also make sure you have a good ground with them otherwise its like just haven a normal plug wire. if your valve cover is painted or coated it wont do you ****. find a spare valve cover n have it sand blasted n cleaned up. i did that with mine n just masked off the bold holes n had it powdercoated crome n it works awsome

id like to hear why you think a colder plug makes a noticable difference in power

Yeah.. I thought hotter plugs gave you more power... and a slight power gain, if that... Correctomundo? [:-]

plugs dont give more power. the only reason to run a colder plug is when you are running high boost or nitrous, to keep ytour cylinder temps down and avoiding melting anything. if anything colder plugs will be a disadvantage if youre not running high boost. your car runs like crap first thing in the morning until the motor warms up, because cold plugs dont run well in cold engines. just stick with reccomended plugs, you can always buy 'racing plugs' if you dont believe me, but to say they give you more power is quite funny

if you honestly did notice a power difference when switching your plugs, it was probably because your previous plugs were old, worn out, not gapped properly etc.

I wasn't sure if it was the nology wires producing a better spark like they're advertised to do... But like I said, it was only when I floored it.. during everyday driving they nor the plugs do anything... Not even improve my gas mileage.

I'll just buy regular plug wires next time, lol
