Not Eclipse related but trying to find opinions
So I have an '88 Chrysler Conquest TSi with the 2.6L turbo engine. G54B for those that don't know the actual code for the engine. I took it down for a supposed chain slap. Replaced timing chain, did balance shaft elimination, new oil and water pumps, replaced timing cover, valve cover, and oil pan gaskets, New hoses all over the place, new PCV valve, fresh oil change and air filter cleaning, thermostat and gaske, and spark plugs. After ALL this work I start her up and she runs but the ticking is STILL happening. It sounds more between a tick and a knock not really either specifically. It happens only between 1.5 and 3.5K RPM. Only on acceleration and fades out if engine remains at constant speed. Also the oil pressure is below the 1/2 mark when running in gear and just above the low level line at an idle.
If there is anyone that happens to have ANY idea I'd appreciate it. I'm at a loss so far.

Are you sure it's rod knock and not lifter tick? Do you happen to have a stethiscope? I've used them before and they will help with finding oddball noises! I've gotta go to Sears to buy one because I think they are awesome....plus you look like a pro while under the hood, lol.
