odometer problem

My odometer is not working in my 99 eclipse and i would like to know what u think could be the problem????

That's a pretty hard subject since not many people mess with the odometer. It's considered like tampering or odometer fraud to open it up or move it around, so not a lot of people wanna do that. The best thing i can tell ya is check to make sure everythings grounded and getting power. Also check around the tranny to see if any wires or anything have been unplugged or damaged. I'm not sure which sensor it is, but inside the transimission is a sensor that tracks the mileage. But I'm sorry i can't help you much.
